Maiko Watson - Sweet Vibration Album Design
I had the amazing pleasure of designing Maiko's debut album Sweet Vibration for her cd release concert in November of 2009. She had just finished recording and mastering her album over the summer but hadn't finalized her cd artwork yet which was the only thing holding her back from album launch. After listening to her album over the summer I started to get a concept direction and a feel for the type of look. Maiko has a real classic soul sound reminiscent of Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight and I wanted to convey that classic retro 30's era jazz look and feel, that kind of "Golden Era" of music when woman were just becoming independent in the music industry. With deep rich brown's and metallic gold inflections, I was able to create a very simple, refined album cover and CD that was reflective of Maiko's sound and soul.
It was a great experience working on my first album and a great pleasure to work with Maiko. She has a real feel for creative design and color which made the collaborative effort and real joy and I am thankful that she was happy with the results. Investorcare is an innovative hip new financial planning and goal setting company
Investorcare approached Bio Design Works to help the achieve their online vision for a new initiative to creative an innovative new approach to financial planning. Investorcare wanted to create an engaging new website composed in a video format so that visitors didn't have to search and look for content on the Investorcare website rather they wanted to communicate the content to their visitors in a video format. Bio Design Works video taped the Investorcare team on a green screen and composited each team member into the website using the latest Flash component video capabilities. The website was designed using the latest website standards and SEO best practices for better search engine rankings. Investocare also wanted to incorporate a social networking component into their website to enable team members to post their latest topics, news and financial findings. Electric Rain Featured Case Study Award 2008
Bio Design Works received an 3D animation case study award for our unique use of Swift 3D to create the 3D illustrations and animations within the Melet Plastics website. The Swift 3D team featured Bio Design Works in their April 2008 case study award section. The Swift team interviewed Bio Design Works to find out more about the strategies and challenges we faced designing and animating the 3D objects.

BrandYourCar.com goes 'LIVE' and is featured on HOT103 FM!
When Brent Deere approached Bio Design Works with this out-of-this world idea to sell $1,000,000 worth of adverting on a brand new sports car we thought he was pretty crazy until we heard how he was going to do it. After some convincing we were hooked and rolled with the idea to build a website where people could buy ad space on a sports car that will hopefully tour around North America and promote its advertisers.
BrandYourCar.com was featured on HOT103 FM last week with host Ace Burpee. Brent Deere will be live on Air with Ace, Tuesday morning August 7th on HOT103 FM so tune-in to hear what he has to say!

Bio Design Works wins 2007 international
Summit Creative Awards® competition
Bio Design Works is a winner in the 2007 Summit Creative Awards® competition. Among the thousands of submissions from twenty-three countries, our creative scored among the very best. Receiving a 'silver' award in the Travel/Tourism/Nature website category was NaturalExposures.com a stock wild life photography website. Bio Design Works NEW Website Goes LIVE 2007!!
Bio Design Works is proud to annouce the creation of it's new and improved website. It has been a year in the making. As a design company busy working on are clients projects it was difficult finding the time to design and develop our own website. Along with having a passion for graphic design Bio Design Works team members also share an equal passion for motorcycle riding and decided to create a website called Winnipeg Bike Nights that would give back to the local riding scene and offer a medium for Winnipeg Motorcycle enthusisasts to communicate and share their individual passion for the sport regardless of their riding ability, age or gender.
